List of Tatars
Tatars are a Turkic [1] ethnic group numbering 6,7 million in the late 20th Century, including all subgroups of Tatars, such as Volga Tatars, and Lipka Tatars. Russia is home to the majority of ethnic Tatars, with a population of around 5,500,000. Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan also each have populations greater than 30,000.[2]
